Office of Transportation & Parking
Transportation
The Office of Transportation & Parking is responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation services that support the needs of the entire campus community. Our office provides a variety of reliable and convenient travel options designed to enhance mobility on and off campus. Services include:
- Scheduled van and shuttle transportation for off-campus events, academic programs, and neighborhood destinations.
- Van reservations for qualified campus drivers to reserve college-owned vans for approved off-campus events and locations related to academic initiative or college-sponsored programs.
- Break-time shuttle services to Rhode Island TF Green International Airport, Amtrak/MBTA Station (PVD), and the Peter Pan Bus Terminal to assist students prior to campus breaks and holidays.
- Special transportation accommodations for campus-sponsored activities, events, and departmental needs.
We are committed to delivering safe, timely, and accessible transportation that supports student life, academic success, and community engagement.
Parking
In collaboration with the Office of Public Safety, the Office of Transportation & Parking manages all campus parking operations, including permit distribution and enforcement of parking regulations. Due to limited space and high demand, parking is strictly regulated to maintain traffic flow and ensure pedestrian safety.
All vehicles parked on campus must display a valid parking permit. Please note that operating or parking a vehicle at Providence College is a privilege, not a right, and signifies the driver’s agreement to comply with all College parking policies.
Please note that Providence College is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles while on campus.
