Food for Fines Returns This Holiday Season

This holiday season, the Offices of Transportation and Public Safety are excited to bring back the Food for Fines program—a special opportunity to spread kindness and make a difference right here in our community.

By donating five non-perishable food items, you can help support local food banks and receive a void on one $25 parking citation (Yes, you can submit 10 items to receive 2 voids!) See below for a list of violations approved for the Food for Fines program. It’s a simple way to give back while getting a little relief yourself.

Thanksgiving collections were a success with 453 lbs of food collected for the Northern Rhode Island Food Pantry. Together, let’s make this season brighter for our neighbors in need for Christmas!
