Holiday Break Shuttle

As part of our commitment to supporting students, Providence College provides shuttles before Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Easter Break to ensure a stress-free and FREE way to reach major transportation hubs. We recognize that many students travel to return home or embark on trips at these times, and arranging transportation can be challenging, especially during peak travel times.

Winter Break Shuttles will be available on:

• Wednesday, Decmeber 17, 2025
• Thursday, December 18, 2025
• Friday, December 19, 2025

Students may sign up for the Winter Break Shuttle Monday, December 1, 2025 at 9:00 am through Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 5:00 pm. 

Shuttles are available:

• Airport Shuttle: Will leave campus every 60 minutes from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
• Amtrak/Bus Shuttles: Leave campus every 30 minutes from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Shuttles Travel to:

• Rhode Island TF Green International Airport – 2000 Post Road, Warwick, RI
• Amtrak (MBTA) Train Station/Kennedy Plaza – 100 Gaspee Street, Providence, RI
• Peter Pan Bus Terminal – 1 Peter Pan Way, Providence RI

To sign up for the shuttle please use the button below and fill out the form. Reminder when selecting departure time, that is the time you will be leaving the campus and not the time of your actual flight/train/bus departure time. 

Cancelled Flights/Trips

Students are encouraged to check the status of their flight/train/bus several hours before their scheduled departure time. Students whose flight, train, or bus is delayed or canceled after drop-off and need to return to campus may meet the shuttle at the designated drop-off location. The shuttle will bring students back to campus after the next scheduled group has been dropped off.  

Please note that the final return shuttle to campus from the bus and train station is at 4:50 pm, and the final return shuttle from TF Green International Airport departs at 5:30 pm both Monday, November 24th and Tuesday, November 25th.

If you have any difficulties returning to campus, please email transportation@providence.edu or call (401) 865-2234 before 4:30 pm and we will update the driver regarding your return time.

What happens after you submit the form? 

Students will receive an email from the Transportation Office to confirm or deny their request. 

What can you bring with you?

Students are allowed to bring one suitcase and backpack on the shuttle. If students bring additional suitcases, they will not be permitted to ride the shuttle and will need to find another method of transportation. The shuttle will pick students up at the backside of Raymond Hall on Donnelly Drive, across from Raymond Lot. Students must arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled reservation.

What should you do if you no longer need a shuttle ride?

If students need to modify or cancel a reservation, please contact Transportation Office as soon as possible at transportation@providence.edu or 401.865.2234. This will most likely open up a ride for another student, so we appreciate you letting us know!
